Today ORAT is a national and international benchmark in the non-destructive testing sector. Since 2005 it has introduced Automatic Ultrasonic Testing technology in Italy for pipeline weld inspection, marking a turning point compared with the previous widespread use of radiography.

The vast majority of ORAT technicians hold a Level 2 qualification according to UNI EN ISO 9712 in different NDT methods. Training is delivered through internal courses taught by company Level 3 personnel, followed by examinations at authorized centers.
